The Original Buns of Steel [VHS] Customer Review: Reminds me of... I recently purchased the Tracy Anderson's mat dvd. (trainer of Madonna and Paltrow), which is currently popular. However, after using the dvd for a couple of weeks I was recognizing that there were many similarities to the Buns of Steel that I used in 7-10th grade. I plan to supplement Buns of Steel with Tracy's mat dvd because the butt benefits were great. I encourage the purchase although you will feel like your working out in 80's with twenty other people with colorful leotard clothing and fluffy hair. Customer Review: A Pain in the Butt...in a good way This workout is grueling. And I've done it all (ballet, martial arts, yoga, etc). My boyfriend couldn't even complete all of the warm up! I used to do this tape every night before bed, then my schedule changed. I've tried other workouts, and I still like Callanetics and all of my ballet DVD's, but I always come back to this one eventually to really tone up. The exercises are simple to do, but you will definitely feel the burn. There are no lunges, no squats, and no weights used. Greg Smithey is a great, genuinely caring instructor. His jokes will keep you going.

This is my third heart rate monitor (first being LifeCycle's built-in tracking -- ok but bare bones, second being a Sunuto watch -- expensive and not reliable) and the Timex is leaps ahead. Customer Review: good and bad After owning 2 polar hrms, I opted for the Timex because of the ability to change the battery in the watch and the chest strap myself. My polar was out of warranty (M61) and about 7 years old. Most likely the cost of repair was nearly the price of a new watch. Anyways. So the timex. I've used it now about 4 times. I found the set-up somewhat clunky, first of all, and for it to track heart rate, the watch must be in "chrono" mode which i personally find unnecessary. I don't understand why this has to be the case. Furthermore, the calorie expenditure estimate seems quite exaggerated. Sure, i would like to believe i burned 553 calories in 51 minutes, but i was on the elliptical, so i doubt it. Unlike my polar, the Timex does not ask for sex or age, just weight, further decreasing the accuracy of the calorie estimate. There is often a discrepancy in the bpm between what the exercise machine says and what the watch says. Thus, in the case of this hrm, it is probably optimal for people who do not do their cardio on exercise machines with hr sensors. Thinking it would better deal with such interference was one of the reasons I purchased this digital model over an analog hrm. oh well. Also, I have to get used to the chest strap again, the 2 pieces, vs. the snapping polar model that was more user friendly. It is also less sensitive and sometimes take 10 minutes to get a reading. Despite my criticisms, I will most likely keep this hrm and deal with the issues. Maybe it is because i don't want to pay $[...] to ship it back? Perhaps over time I will like this watch better. Seeing my heart rate is motivating enough to keep me going, I suppose.

Our 5 1/2 year old is a very early riser. We set the night light to turn green when it's OK for him to get out of bed and play quietly in his room. It should ONLY be used as a means to secure quick release components like your seat, seat post and/or wheels in conjunction with a U-lock. It should NOT be used to secure the bike's frame to a solid object like a bike rack. If you try to use this cable as your primary means of securing your bike (frame) then don't be surprised if your bike gets stolen (like another reviewer experienced, sadly). USE COMMON SENSE, PEOPLE! For what it was intended to do (secure quick release components, bike seat, wheels, etc.) it does a great job. I would recommend it to anyone that wants another added layer of protection on top of a solid U-lock. Customer Review: Don't waste your money! We have been using this cable to secure 2 generators to our 5th wheel for several years. Apparently the cable is only good for keeping honest people honest because both generators ($2000+) were stolen when the Kryptonite cable was cut. So find another product that isn't easily cut.

With a push of the lever, either of the two is easily attachable or detachable. I rely on the lanyard ring to keep my tool from falling into the river while I'm working on my boat. The pocket clip comes in handy to keep my tool from wandering about and getting scratched and from scratching up against other items in either my shirt or pants pockets. I saved this set in my Amazon Cart until I bought other items which qualified me for Amazon's free shipping. It's a great way to go for a nice deal! I recommend the Leatherman quick-release pocket clip and lanyard ring. Customer Review: Works....but.... I bought this for the pocket clip only. It works like a charm. It attaches to my leatherman wave very securely. My only major gripe about the pocket clip is that it should have a thin rubber or plastic lining inside where the clip meets your pant pocket and rests. This clip has been tearing my jeans pocket seams up. I'll just put some black electrical tape in there or something. I never used the lanyard ring so I can't comment on that.

Tae-Bo Workout (SET OF 4: Basic, Instructional, Advanced, 8-minute Workout) [VHS] Billed as the "future of fitness" and hawked by numerous celebrities, Billy Blanks's Tae-Bo actually deserves much of the hype it's receiving. A mixture of boxing punches and martial arts kicks, Tae-Bo is fun and easy. One of the best elements of this four-tape set is that the first tape (which is 40 minutes long), Tae-Bo: Instructional, lays out the movements you need to successfully complete a workout. Once you've mastered the steps, you won't have to fast-forward through half the tape to get to the workout, nor will your workout be slowed down by the repeated lessons. After you feel comfortable with the movements (and they're really quite easy to follow; nothing too complicated to trip you up), you're ready to move on to Tae-Bo: Basics, a 27-minute workout (5 minutes of warm-up, 18 minutes of Tae-Bo, and 4 minutes of cool-down) that will have your heart pounding and your body sweating. Next comes Advanced, a 57-minute workout that will have your heart racing, pulse pounding, and sweat glands working overtime. There's razzmatazz on the moves, with slightly more complicated combinations that should be fairly easy to master if you've completed the first two tapes. This video seriously raises the bar on the difficulty factor. In addition to the short warm-up, the cool-down, and the 30 minutes of Tae-Bo, Advanced Tae-Bo also includes 18 minutes of muscle-crunching floor work. You know you're in trouble when even the guys in the tape have trouble keeping up. Make sure you have truly mastered the first two tapes before attempting this one. The 8-Minute Workout is a highly compacted workout (actually 14 minutes long when you include warm-up and cool-down) for those days when you're too short on time for Basic or Advanced. While the 8-minute idea is compelling, it's not an adequate substitute for the longer workouts. Blanks, a seven-time World Martial Arts champion, is a superb instructor, providing encouragement and careful instruction (if you don't know by the end of the tape to hold in your stomach, that's no one's fault but your own). About ten years ago, as a sophomore in college, I used the VHS tape of Billy Blank's Basic video to lose 20 pounds fairly quickly. I did it 3-4 times a week for several years, and always looked forward to the next time I put in the tape. Well it got so worn out that it broke, and I've spent a long time looking for a DVD copy. (Who has a VCR anymore?) This time around I have a bit more work to do, and Im excited to receive my DVD in the mail. Taebo basic is a workout that I felt was more like a spiritual/physical routine. And you enjoy perfecting that flow time and again. Sure the music and production quality are true to their era, which is a testament to Blanks' authenticity and staying power. TKO Fitness Ball. Stronger than my printer...nice. Customer Review: Makes a great office chair The main reason I went with this one is the darker color. A bright flashy color is fine for exercising but I wanted something more muted and professional looking for my office. I have other balls for exercise but got this one specifically to use as an office chair. The larger diameter makes it ideal for sitting at most desks or workbenches and the tougher material (much thicker than the one I exercise with) seems to handle rolling over the odd staple or tack pretty well. I can't attest to how it holds up during a workout but I will say that it holds together really well when used as a chair. If I ever need to replace my exercise ball I will probably go with another TKO ball like this one.
